Childhood Memories

Meet our Mom!  That's her, on the far left...also known as the Betty in "Aunt Betty's" Kitchen (ABK).  She's a woman of many, many talents, and we are so proud to call her our Mom.  One of the best parts about helping out in the development (read: manual labor!) of Aunt Betty's Kitchen is that we have been able to hear stories that we may not otherwise have known.  Yes, it may sound silly to say that we "Bonded over Behr", but it's true...helping out our family with ABK allowed us to hear Betty and Cliff tell stories about Greenwich from their perspective.

In the picture above, she is taking the Greenwich Co-Op Preschool on a Halloween field trip (all 25 feet total distance...no bus transportation needed!) to Arnold's Store.

Personally, we - like many other Greenwich folks - have such fond memories of George Arnold's store.  And that smile on his face is exactly why!!! It doesn't get any more welcoming, more "glad to see ya!", than Mr. Arnold's smile.   Word has it that the young lady on his counter is a Seeley...can YOU tell us who??

You'll read more later about George, the Greenwich Store, and the other kind folks who have made it a small-town success as owners over the years.  But this picture is one of the ABK team's favorites - and really captures the spirit of what a "small town store" is...what better way to kick off the Aunt Betty's Kitchen countdown than this?!

Stay tuned!!!
